Marriage, Birth and Death Certificates are $20.00 for a certified copy.
Only certified copies will be issued.
To obtain a Marriage License in Connecticut, couples must appear in person within 65 days of the Wedding date at the Town Clerk’s office in the Connecticut Town where the marriage ceremony will take place.
You will need to present your driver’s license or a photo ID. When you come to the office, questions you will need to know are: Where your parents were born, Mother's maiden name, your place of birth, the date and location of your wedding and the name of the person performing the service.
Our office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Our office is located at the Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT 06470.
The fee is $30.00 in cash or check.
