Emergency Management
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Town of Newtown Emergency Management Office is to minimize the effects of disasters through comprehensive mitigation, planning, training, and response. One of its main duties is to coordinate between all of the town departments, state and federal agencies, and first responders during times of emergency.
In conjunction with multiple other departments, including the Office of the First Selectman, Newtown Emergency Management provides critical public information and warning to the citizens of Newtown on emergency situations.
